چکیده

A recently proposed molecular model is discussed as a non-trivial extension of the Ising model. For d = 2 the two models are shown to be equivalent, while for d > 2 the molecular model describes a peculiar second order transition from an isotropic high temperature phase to a low-dimensional anisotropic low temperature state. The general mean field analysis is compared with the results achieved by a variational Migdal-Kadanoff real space renormalization group method and by standard Monte Carlo sampling for d = 3. By finite size scaling the critical exponent has been found to be ν = 0.44 ± 0.02 thus establishing that the molecular model does not belong to the universality class of the Ising model for d > 2. Modelling the catalyst fragmentation pattern in relation to molecular properties and particle overheating in olefin polymerization

A two-dimensional single particle finite element model was used to examine the effects of particle fragmental pattern on the average molecular weights, polymerization rate and particle overheating in heterogeneous Ziegler-Natta olefin polymerization. A two-site catalyst kinetic mechanism was employed together with a dynamic two-dimensional molecular species in diffusion-reaction equation. The i...

A simple d-dimensional lattice model is proposed, incorporating some degree of frustration and thus capable of describing some aspects of molecular orientation in covalently bound molecular solids. For d = 2 the model is shown to be equivalent to the standard two-dimensional Ising model, while for d > 2 it describes a peculiar transition from an isotropic high temperature phase to a low-dimensi...

Magnetic Properties in a Spin-1 Random Transverse Ising Model on Square Lattice

In this paper we investigate the effect of a random transverse field, distributed according to a trimodal distribution, on the phase diagram and magnetic properties of a two-dimensional lattice (square with z=4),  ferromagnetic Ising system consisting of magnetic atoms with spin-1. This study is done using the effectivefield theory (EFT) with correlations method. The equations are derived using...

Topological Relationship Between One-Dimensional Box Model and Randić Indices in Linear Simple Conjugated Polyenes

The alternative double bonds and conjugation in the polyene compounds are one of the main properties in these compounds. Each carbon-carbon bonds in a polyene compound along the chain has appreciable double-bond character. The p-electrons are therefore not localized but are relatively free to move throughout the entire carbon skeleton as an one-dimensional box. The skeleton be considered as a r...

The Ising model is one of the simplest models describing the interacting particles. In this work, we calculate the high temperature series expansions of zero field susceptibility of ising model with ferromagnetic, antiferromagnetic and one antiferromagnetic interactions on two dimensional kagome lattice. Using the Pade´ approximation, we calculate the susceptibility of critical exponent of fer...
